Frequently Asked Questions
We know your wedding day is special and we want to help you have the best day possible. Here is a little key information from us, to assist with your planning.
  1. Q

Can I reserve a date while I check with my other vendors?

    A

If you are not yet sure about your date, you are welcome to book a tentative 'save the date'. Your booking will not be secured until a deposit is paid, however, all reasonable attempts will be made to notify you if anyone else enquires about your date and you will be given priority to book it at that time.
  2. Q

    What happens if it rains?

    A

We do not provide a wet weather option so we do urge you to organise a back-up plan for inclement weather. The site does hold light rain, but is unsuitable in heavy rain. The decision to move the venue is up to the discretion of the Bride and Groom on the day. While the deposit is non-refundable, the remaining $1700 will be refunded to you in case of wet weather.
  3. Q

    Where will our guests park?

    A

There is a drop-off area close to the wedding site and off-street parking that may be available, weather permitting. Street parking is also available. Allow a few minutes for walking to the venue.
  4. Q

Can I bring my own vendors?

    A

Photographers, Florists, Musicians or other vendors you have booked for your wedding are welcome on our site. If you wish to serve light refreshments after your ceremony, we are happy for you to self-cater, or bring in a vendor. We provide power to the site.
  5. Q

Is there time for a rehearsal or set up?

    A

You are welcome to hold your wedding rehearsal on site. You may also come to set-up and personalise the venue, we just need to co-ordinate the best time to do that with you. The day/days before your wedding will often be available for you to come and decorate and rehearse. On the day of your wedding, the whole day is yours so you are welcome to come early to do any set up.
  6. Q

    Are there bathrooms available?

    A

We have one bathroom available in the house. If necessary, you may consider hiring additional portable toilets for the day.
  7. Q

    Are there any safety requirements?

    A

We endeavour to keep our site naturally beautiful with a rustic feel. Please attend to the signage. The paths are not smoothly paved, so that suitable footwear is advised. This would include discouraging very high and stileto heel shoes. The timber bench seats are for sitting only. Please do not allow guests to stand or walk on them and please stay on the paths. More detailed requirements provided upon booking.
  8. Q

    Can we use confetti?

    A

The Forest Chapel is in a beautiful, natural environment and home to local wildlife. Keeping it clean is important to us. Paper confetti and similar products are not permitted, however, flower petals and leaves may be used.
  9. Q

What needs to be packed up?

    A

We provide one 60 litre bin. Beyond that, all rubbish and food scraps must be removed on the day. These are not to be left on site. If necessary, you may organise to pick up other decorations and equipment the day after.
